Sky Space is the yoga practice of Surgeet Kaur, teaching in-person group classes at two studios in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This policy describes what we collect when you enrol, why we hold it, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). Surgeet Kaur decides how your information is used, which makes her the Data Fiduciary under that Act.
1. What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number, given when you enrol in a class.
- Anything you choose to write in the “Anything Surgeet should know?” field — typically an injury, a pregnancy, or that it is your first class. This field is optional.
- Which class you enrolled in, the month you started, and your attendance.
- Payment references from Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI ID or bank details.
- Basic web analytics: pages visited, device type, IP address.
2. How we use it
- To hold your place in a class and take payment for the month.
- To let Surgeet teach you safely — an injury or a pregnancy changes what she asks of you in the room.
- To send you class reminders and changes to the timetable.
- To keep the accounts required by Indian tax law.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
3. Who sees it
Surgeet. Anything you write about your health is read by her and by no one else. There is no other teacher and no matching service — this is one person’s teaching practice.
4. Children
Little Yogis is a class for children aged 3 to 4. A parent or guardian enrols the child and gives their own contact details; we hold the child’s first name and age and nothing more. Everyone else enrolling must be 18 or over.
5. Services we rely on
- Razorpay — payments
- Google — the studio’s own sign-in (staff only)
- Supabase — database
- Resend — email
- Microsoft Azure — hosting (Central India region)
- PostHog, Sentry — analytics and error reporting
6. How long we keep it
Enrolment and payment records are kept for eight years, which is what Indian tax and GST rules require. Anything you told us about your health is deleted within 90 days of your last class unless you ask us to keep it so you do not have to explain it again.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, except records we are legally required to keep.
- Stop sending you reminders.
